The Peshawar golf club-Lenard thinks it was establilshed when the Brits were here, and I tend to agree with him. This one was not on base, I remember that the DF shack on base sat on the base golf driving range, and if you were assigned to operate it, the people on the range made a point of trying to hit the DF shack with a ball--you' d be sitting nice and comfortable and all of a sudden "WHACK" : somebody would succeed--really got the adrenalin flowing. I also remember that I was in the DF shack when I experienced my very first earthquake. Took me a few tics to figure out what the heck was going on.
